Bottle Tree Park – Part One

You may have seen this private park in Yishun when you take MRT to Khatib. A 7.5 ha project that took 2.5 years to build and renovate into an old-world Singapore flavour can also be seen in little accents like a buffalo cart and thatched huts. The location also includes a Chinese seafood restaurant, a pool table, a small pond for kids longkang fishing, prawn fishing, and DIY vegetable farming. Apart from bottle trees, grass trees, giant ferns and palms, also imported from Australia can be seen around the park.

A view of the park with it’s fishing pond…

Hugging the bottle tree…

Other plants there include smaller bottle trees, fruit trees, lotus, grass trees…

Swan paddle boats…
