Pariss International Seafood @ Marina Square

Oytsers On Ice – The oysters were fresh but not live, we enjoyed it all the same and managed to get a dozen throughout our 2 hour sitting at the restaurant. We would have eaten more, except that they do not display the oysters, you need to place an order and they only serve one oyster per person at one time, which was a little dissapointing.

To get fresh oysters and some japanese cooked items, we had to put our fish clips into the baskets provided for that dish. We had to wait about 10 minutes for every order of oysters.

Scallops On Ice – I only had one and didn’t care much for this. I found it really tasteless and somewhat rubbery. Not sure why, but I only like scallops lightly seared and no other way.

Salmon Sashimi – The raw fish was very fresh and the sashimi station was topped up regularly. There is also a variety of other raw fish items that we tried but found to be not very fresh.

Norwegian Smoked Salmon - I enjoyed the smoked salmon, although would have preferred if they were served with crackers or on something non-salty.

Baked Cheesy Scallops – As I’ve mentioned, I’m not a big fan of scallops done any other way but seared. However, I found the baked scallops with a melted cheese topping quite delicious.

Sliced Abalone – I didn’t manage to get a photo of this, but the word sliced is an understatement. The poor abalone was shredded into tiny strings, so much so that I couldn’t taste it or even recognise it as abalone.

Pumpkin Crabs – The crabs in pumpkin sauce were quite a surprise and a first for me. I would never have thought that pumpkin and crab would ever go together this way. The crab was sweet and tasty, but I failed to taste the pumpkin in the sauce (if that is even possible).

Firm Fish Tofu – The tofu was surprisingly good, but a little filling and just one piece was enough for me… but would have taken more if I had space in my tummy. Must try!

Siew Mai & Prawn Dumplings – The dim sum counter was quite limited with a couple types of baos, prawn dumplings, and siew mai. We tried the siew mai which was mediocre. The prawn dumplings was really quite delicious and the whole prawns inside were juicey and sweet.

Assorted Cakes – A great way to end a meal! A good variety of different brownies, chocolate sponge, and cheese cakes. Strangely enough, this was the highlight of the night for me. The chocolate and cheese cakes were rich and absolutely delicious!

My ratings – Food: 6/10. Service: 7/10. Ambience: 6/10. Value for money: 4/10.
