Urban Spoon @ Jalan Kayu

Urban Spoon is a bistro serving fusion food and a good variety of beer on tap. It’s located at the heart of Jalan Kayu surrounded by the  Roti Prata shops. I thought it was an enexpected find in this area and the ambiance was a somewhat Dempsey-ish, with tall bamboo grass sheilding it from the rest of the shops and road.

We only visited for a few rounds of drinks – A jug of Tiger Beer from the tap is a reasonable $20. We tried the very heavily promoted Starker Beer (which they informed are freshly brewed and only has a one week shelf life) at $23 for a pint and a half – not my kind of beer personally. They also serve Guiness draft. Maybe next time we might visit for a meal :)
