This is Southeast Asia’s first one-stop centre for gardening-related recreational, educational, research and retail activities in a park setting. Some park highlights include attractive themed gardens as well as outdoor display plots showcasing designs and ideas for home gardening. The 23-hectare HortPark is part of the Southern Ridges and connects to Kent Ridge Park via the Canopy Walk.

Far East flora have set up shop at Hortpark selling a wide range of Cacti

Venus Fly Traps…

And Monkey Cups – Scott looking curiously into one of them!

A view of the green house from the pond.

Plants grown for the new Gardens By The Bay are kept in these glass houses

I managed to see some beautiful flowers like this giant lily in there…

And some very unique lentern-like flowers…

Other than Cacti and flowers, Hortpark also houses a variety of fruit trees

And it even has a wild cocaine tree :)

Other things that I found quite interesting were these pretty terrariums

and a seed pod – right next to a wind powered seed dispenser
