Workshop – Terrarium Building

We learnt how to make our own terrarium today and it was surprisingly fun to create a sustainable enclosed garden with minimal fuss. There is more to terrariums than meets the eye as I never knew about drainage and the different types of soils used. More info about terrariums and workshops at www.terrarium.wordpress.com.

Our trainer guiding us along the way…

  • A terrarium could be any type of enclosed area that is used for keeping plants or small animals. Thus, a terrarium could be a glass tank, a plastic bowl or even a mug, depending on the space requirements of the plant or animal.

Hi Joy, my is still alive and a little misty in the morning. I remember what the trainer said about the “watering tell-tale signs”

  • Joy

Hey J, mines still alive too! yeah, mine was misty too the next morning – so i opened it for a few hours. think i put too much water in when building it. now it’s only misty in the morning and is clear the rest of the day.
