Bukit Timah Nature Reserve – Night Trek

Joined the group from SANL for an enjoyable trek through the woods in the dark. It’s amazing how all our senses come alive when you can’t see very much. Glad to have seen fireflies and glowing fungus too :)

Our starting point at the black truss bridge next to rail mall.

Walking through the woods – We did the last 5km without torches and it was a great experience. Really enjoyed the sounds and smells around us. The highlight for me were the fireflies and glowing mushrooms. Fireflies are so magical! We trekked from railmall to singapore quarry, to dairy farm quarry, to wallace loop, to woodcutters trail. There were fireflies spotted around all along the way.

At our end point. Thanks to TS Chua and Leon Pang for the photos :)

Everyone said their goodbyes at Zhenghua Park and we continued our walk back to Rail Mall for supper. All in all a fantastic night out and a great close-to-nature experience. Looking forward to the next night trek!
