Hooked! @ Railway Mall

Early every morning, Hooked! will be at Jurong Fishery Port taking delivery of fresh fish just caught from the ocean and sending them directly to Hooked!’s kitchen ready to be served at the dining tables. Hooked!’s management has assured us that no cheaper commercially farmed fish will ever be used at Hooked!. The sauces and broths used for every dish at Hooked! are also meticulously prepared every morning, utilizing only the freshest ingredients to complement the high quality fishes.

Our Seafood Paella ($17.90) came in huge portion. Prawns, shellfish, and squid were nicely seasoned. Quite a heavy meal for one person but would be lovely as a shared side dish for a group of 3 or 4.

The Snapper Bacon ($18.95) – Fish was fresh and tasty, but I found that the saltiness of the bacon was a little overpowering. The bacon and fish did not really complement each other and would have preferred if we could taste the fish a little more.

My ratings – Food: 7/10. Service: 5/10. Ambience: 6/10. Value for money: 7/10. The bill came up to about $46.60 for the 2 of us with the above dishes, and drinks (Iced Honey Lemon and Dreamy Forest).

Hooked! currently operates two restaurant branches, the first one at Rail Mall and a newly opened branch at Upper Thomson Road in the heart of the eating district there. opening hours: 12noon – 10pm. Closed on Tuesdays.
